Tip of the Day: Garlic Mashed Potatoes
If you love Garlic Mashed Potatoes but don’t want to go through the hassle of actually roasting the garlic to get a paste.
Just add a small handful of garlic CLOVES (not minced), with the potatoes when you bring them to a boil. The garlic will then cook and soften.
Drain the water from the potatoes when knife inserts into potato with little pressure, drain, and mash just like you normally do.
I have done this several times and I love it every time. I of course like my mash “JOAN BLAIR” style with a little cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, cheddar cheese, and a little S & P (salt and pepper). Spread into a 9×13 pan cover with more cheese and bake until cheese is melted. Talk about mouth watering!
