For all you “marinaters” out there! Is that actually a word? Well you know what I mean right?
For those of you who love to marinade meat, a tip for your marinade is to add the salt at the cooking time of the meat not to the marinade itself.
Why? Because just like our bodies when we eat too much salt, it retains water. And we want all the moisture left in our meat, not drawn out. Marinades are usually used to flavor the outer layer of meat and use acids such as vinegars and citric acids(lemons, limes, oranges) to help tenderize the meat making it juicy and tender. What is your favorite quick marinade? Grilling season is finally here and I want some options!
