Quicky Chicken LoMein
So you love Chinese food but you are afraid you can’t cook it. Is this you? If so, you can cook it! There really is one top secret ingredient that really will set a dish apart as Chinese food. Are you ready for it? Any guesses? Hmmmmm………
Sesame Seed Oil! You guessed it right!
If you have cooked my Quick Sesame Chicken or my Easy 2 Step Fried Rice you will know this is true. If you have taken my Preppin’MadeEasy Meal Planning Course, then you also know that sesame oil is a key component to one of my pantry staples.
So I was inspired by this LoMein recipe from a trip to Costco. They had samples that day, and my daughters grabbed one. I didn’t think they would eat it, but I found I was wrong rather quickly and ended up grabbing a box of individual serving bags.
When I got home to cook them, which required throwing it the microwave for a few minutes, I immediately thought I can make these myself! It should be easy, not take a lot of time, and save me money! A win win 🙂
If you already have chicken cooked then this dish literally takes a few more minutes than boiling pasta. If you have to cook the chicken, then this dish takes a few minutes longer than it would take to cook chicken breasts! Either way it is a super quick meal! Enjoy 🙂

Notes from Tandy:
Double the recipe and make one for the freezer. Follow all the directions steps 1-7. Split the batch in half. You can either throw half the mixture into a baggie to freeze into a lump or what I would really recommend is you sheet pan it. Spread half the cooked mixture onto a sheet pan and throw into the freezer. Once frozen, break up and throw into a baggie and label with permanent marker. This way if you need a quick lunch later down the road you won’t have to wait for the full gallon baggie to defrost, you can just grab a little individual portion out and pop into the microwave! Bam!
