Waffle Pizza Pockets
I am always looking for a way to put a “spin” on a “traditional” recipe, and stir things up a bit, especially for kids!
Here is a take on the traditional HOT POCKET. Now of course always remember a recipe is just a GUIDELINE, and should never limit you to following the recipe exactly!
Ingredients:
- Canned Biscuits
- Shredded Mozzarella ( or any shredded cheese)
- Mini Pepperoni’s ( or any meat of your choice)
- Pizza Sauce (see next post)
- Waffle Iron
Flatten one biscuit, place ingredients of your choice in middle of biscuit, and seal with a second biscuit on top.
Place in waffle iron. Now, make sure you push waffle maker down firmly so it can cook the whole biscuit, but not so firm that you flatten the biscuit completely and all the insides squish out.
Some MODIFICATIONS to this particular recipe could be: jelly, scrambled eggs, sausage gravy, hot dogs, or bananas and peanut butter. Would be a nice meal for a quick lunch in the summer that wont heat up your whole house!
Enoy!
