First off, who doesn’t love a good sugar cookie?? Second, who doesn’t love nutmeg?? Well a good friend from work brought these One Bowl Nutmeg Sugar Cookies and I just had to have the recipe because they are so GOOD!! I have literally made 4 batches since I got the recipe which was just this summer 🙂
Here is the full recipe! I normally will cut it in half only because I don’t need to eat a whole batch of cookies!
ingredients:
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg (I always add way more)
- 2 eggs
- 2 sticks butter
- 4 tbsp milk
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Then add my eggs, butter, and milk.
- Stir it all together with a fork (you can use a mixer if you would like). The batter will be thick.
- Next, drop a spoonful of batter on your pan and press down with your fingers to thin out a little
- Bake for about 5-10 minutes (I really keep an eye cause once the edges of the cookie start to turn brown get them out of the oven ASAP!)
- Let them cool and then frost with your favorite icing!!
