Make Your Own Italian Seasoning
I don’t know about you, but my spice cabinet is overloaded with all sorts of spices that I’ve kinda stock piled over time. I don’t necessarily use every single one- but probably wanted to cook something at one point in time that needed a certain seasoning- so I bought it!
Well today’s tip of the day is gonna share with you how to make your own Italian seasoning!
Now if you don’t have all these spices you can either:
A- Improvise with other spices you have
B- Just buy store- bought Italian Seasoning already mixed for you 🙂
Love the versatility of this mix- you can:
- Add olive oil and vinegar to Italian mix for a quick salad dressing
- Sprinkle on some diced or wedged potatoes and roast in the oven
- Simply add to casseroles
- Add to olive oil with some pepper flakes, and balsamic vinegar for a bread dipping herb oil.
Ingredients:
- 2 T. Garlic Powder
- 4 T. Onion Powder
- 2 1/2 T. Oregano
- 4 T. Parsley
- 2 T. Salt
- 1/2 T. Pepper
- 1 T. Basil
Instructions:
- Mix all together in a small bowl
- Cover and re-use until gone.
- Bon Appetit!
